37^th FAI World Gliding Championships 2022 – Szeged, Hungary

The 2022 World Championships in Szeged were held with fast flights in mostly good weather conditions, so that a total of 10 classification days were achieved. The German team Felipe Levin and Michael Sommer, both with the single-seater EB29R, were mostly in the front positions of the day with an average speed of 135 to 164 km/h. With 164 km/h they flew the fastest flight of the competition in the Open Class on the 4^th day of the competition. In the overall standings, Felipe Levin reached first place and thus the World Open Class title 2022. Oscar Goudrian flew the competition with the EB29DR with co-pilot. He was able to quickly adapt to the new aircraft and keep up with the speeds which gave him second place in the overall standings.

37^th World Gliding Championships 2022  -  WM Szeged, Ungarn

Die WM 2022 in Szeged wurde mit schnellen Flügen bei guten Wetterbedingungen ausgetragen, so dass insgesamt 10 Wertungstage zustande gekommen sind. Das deutsche Team Felipe Levin und Michael Sommer, beide mit dem Einsitzer EB29R, lag mit durchschnittlichen Geschwindigkeit von 135 bis 164km/h meist auf den vorderen Tagesplätzen. Mit 164 km/h haben sie am 4.Wertungstag den schnellsten Flug des Wettbewerbs in der Offenen Klasse geflogen. In der Gesamtwertung erreichte Felipe Levin den ersten Platz und somit den Weltmeistertitel der Offenen Klasse 2022. Oscar Goudrian ist den Wettbewerb mit der EB29DR doppelsitzig geflogen. Er konnte sich schnell auf das für ihn neue Flugzeug einstellen und bei den Geschwindigkeiten gut mithalten was ihm den zweiten Platz in der Gesamtwertung bescherte.
